Emine GÖNÜLLÜ

 

Born in Artvin / Arhavi, 1959

Studied elementary and high school in Istanbul

1979 – 1983 Graduated from Ceramics Department of Fine Art Academy, Marmara University Istanbul

1983 – 1989 Worked as a ‘Product Designer’ at Istanbul Porclein Industrial Factory

1986 – 1989 Founded ceramics department at Moda High School and gave ceramics classes as well as workshops

1992 – 1995 Completed her masters degree in Ceramics and Glass at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University

1990 – 1996  Worked as a ‘Restoration Expert’ in Istanbul Restoration and Conservation Laboratory, Turkish Ministry of Culture

1994 – 1995 Assigned as a ‘Restoration Expert’ to Excavations at Aslantepe, Malatya which was carried out by Turkish Ministry of Culture in collaboration with University of Rome

1996 – 2004 In the meanwhile she carried out several private projects in ceramics and interior decoration

2004 Established her own art studio

2009 – 2013 Worked as a ‘Mayor’s Consultant’ in the fields of education, culture and fine arts at Maltepe Municipality

March 2012 Opened her first solo exhibition with the sponsorship of Seranit at 24th UNICERA International Ceramic Bathroom and Kitchen Fair

September 2012 Focusing on both ceramics and photography, made a duo exhibition with photographer friend Ercüment Usluer at Bahçeşehir University

November 2012 The duo also displayed their exhibition at Prof. Dr. Türkan Saylan Cultural Center

April 2013 Participated in group exhibition named “Değiş Tokuş” at Adasanat Art Gallery

2014 Designed and performed a monumental mosaic tile installation for Sinpaş GYO Residences Egeboyu Project, Istanbul

Has been working in her own art studio since 2004
